My name is Lennie A Conyers, co-owner of Twice Baked. I joined forces with my partner, and amazing wife Rochelle in 2016.
I was born in Walterboro, South Carolina in 1976. My father and mother relocated my four brothers and I to Troy, New York in 1983 for two years, for work. In 1985, we packed up and moved to Atlanta, Georgia where my dad landed another position. I have two biological children; daughter Nene, born in 1999; and son, Lennie Jr, born in 2001. In 2002, at the age of 26, the mother of my biological children and I made the decision to relocate to Las Vegas.
With no extended family in Las Vegas to welcome us and lend a helping hand; me and my girlfriend at the time and her four children she has from a previous relationship that I took on as my own . I put in the hardwork and perseverance; working odd jobs to provide for the house and all of my children.
In 2005, I started working for Creeling Printing in Las Vegas. I didn’t know it at the time, but Creeling Printing became my career home. I worked with the corporation for over 14 years. In 2013, I became a single father; raising my two biological children, plus two of my bonus children. It wasn’t easy, but we made it by the grace of GOD. 2015 is when I started the dialogue and court-ship of my soon to be future wife Rochelle Hodge-Conyers. At the time she was working as CEO of two companies; both as a Beauty Technician, and, the newly formed company Twice Baked. 2016 is when Rochelle and I officially met. I officially married my beautiful bride May 9th, and gained three more bonus children, and four grandkids from my spouse.
We both continued to work our careers, and at the same time, nourished our company Twice Baked while still in the infancy stages. Over time the buzz for our delicious handcrafted dishes and professional services continued to grow and grow.
Early 2018, my wife retired after 25 years of service to her own business; building people’s confidence level through beauty, to fully dive into Twice Baked to push it to the next level. Later, because of the rapid growth of the company, she was in need of a reliable managing partner, which fit perfectly with my skill set, allowing me in April of 2019 to retire from printing and focus and devote all my time to our family business. And Twice Baked was BORN!
Greetings, my name is Rochelle Hodge-Conyers a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. Born April of 1974 – #teamtaurus -; middle child of 7 on my mom, Dell Ray’s side, and the baby of 4 on my dad Leroi’s side. So, I’m in the middle and I’m the baby –Go figure!
I was raised by my mother and step-father, Robert. We were a decent hardworking family, where there was an abundance of love for each other, for GOD, and our family unit. One of the many things that stuck out for me from an early age, was my mom’s admonition to my siblings and I, was always strive to be your own boss, work hard, and have integrity in everything you do. Those family values stayed with me into adulthood.
I worked a couple of gigs up until the age of 21, and decided to go to school to start my own business the year 1996, I graduated Beauty Academy and established my company as a professional technician in the beauty industry. It was a thriving & successful business.
By 2005, having built a flourishing, prosperous business and still growing , one of life’s unfortunate stumbles on my part happened in a relation which caused a bump in the road but I determinedly rose above it, with more experience under my belt and prevailed against all odds.
I learned to love every LESSON, CHALLENGE, TEAR, SELF-AFFLICTION, HAPPINESS, OBSTACLE, WRONG & RIGHT DECISION, HURDLE, VICTORY, AND OPPORTUNITY; GRABBED OR MISSED that crossed my path. You may inquire why? Because it created one of the most caring, creative, loving & amazing women I know, ME.
In 2008, I took home the 1st place award for being one of the top beauty technicians in Vegas’s “Styling under the stars” competition.
In 2015, I stumbled upon another undiscovered gift I had, and started selling lunches. Truth be told, I wasn’t sure what I was doing, but it became an accidental success story.
By 2016, I equipped myself with all the permits and licensing that is required for the Culinary Industry. I went back to college and am currently working towards my Associate’s degree in Business. The year 2016 turned out to be an incredible year; as that’s when I met my amazing and talented husband Mr. Lennie Conyers. I believe special people are meant to come into one’s life at specific times and specific reasons and in 2016 Mr. Conyers was curated specifically for me “because I’m a handful”. He gave me his last name and I received two bonus children that I feel I birthed myself. A son, Lennie Jr and a daughter Nene.
We gladly started a blended family with my 3 birth children; daughters Del & Ja’Leah; and son, Livonian Jr. We also have the added blessing of four grandkids, all girls; Liahna, Journey, Avery and Peyton.
In 2018, both Lennie and myself retired from our respective careers: Lennie, who has over 14 years in Printing; and myself, over 20 years in the beauty industry and dove headfirst into Twice Baked.
In 2019, I received my first 1st place award for top chef in the culinary battle among my fellow chef peers “Motley Brew Mad Craft April 2019”.
Between 2018-2019 I’ve worked/catered to high profile clients and celebrities, festivals, carnivals, corporate events. Twice Baked has satisfied the palates of many; anywhere from serving 20 people to over 8500 professionally. So no event is too small or big for us.
